In Case You're Wondering
LILAC stands for Leading Improvements for Looked After Children. It is a 3 year project until August 2012 for which A National Voice has received funding from the National Lottery BIG Young Persons Fund.
LILAC focuses on participation and making sure looked-after children and young people are involved in decisions relating to both their individual care and the policies and practices of the services that look after them.
LILAC involves care-experienced young people:
- carrying out assessments of how well services involve and consult with their children and young people
- delivering training on participation and the LILAC standards
