Because I'm In Care
by Louise (at age 18)
I'm trouble don't you know
But I have no criminal record
I'm thick don't you know
With four GCSE's and a diploma in social care
It's my own fault don't you know
But I never asked that social worker to land on my door
I'm worthless don't you know
But I have a three year modelling contract
I should not have a place in society
But I am loved and cared for greatly
I will live off the dole for the rest of my life
Highly unlikely I'm going to Uni. in September
I ask for society to open it's eyes
And realise we are stereotyped into a disguise
I have proved by my achievements so far
That I can shine brightly.
Just like a star.
